TANYA COOK Chief Executive & Director

Tanya has been involved with the company since its formation in 2003. First as a volunteer and then as an employee. She has been the CEO since 2012. Tanya is passionate about making a difference both in the community and for individuals. Her role is to find funding and build partnership but she also loves working with people and helping them get where they want to go.

MARK TONNER Office Manager

Mark is developing the office admin in all aspects of A1 Admin, bring the safety systems up to date as well as bring work effectiveness to a higher standard. Mark will also be working closely with Karon to develop courses and bring in trade and new projects to A1. He will strengthen the link between soldiers, ex-soldiers and other members of the community who are looking for bespoke training.

PAUL GALLAGHER Systems & Data Management

Paul is a volunteer manager developing systems to ensure quality control within the business so that as we grow we can apply for Matrix accreditation. Paul has extensive experience in project management and facilities development.

KARON BROWN Development Worker

Karon has three years experience with the company. She is working closely with Mark Tonner to develop courses targeted at retiring soldiers and other members of the community who are looking for bespoke training. She is a retired lawyer with experience in sales negotiations, training, and property management.

EMILY HARBRON Community Development Worker & Lead Digital Champion

Emily leads delivery on our digital engagement in the community, helping people improve their computer skills until the can confidently digital devices them on their own. Having a level 3 in Learning and Development and she is developing her skills as a trainer and bid writer.

PAUL MCGEE Apprentice of IT

Paul is an apprentice in IT who has passed his COMPta+ and will soon be leaving us to pursue a career in IT.

PHILIP KNOX Apprentice of IT

Phil has been coming to A1 since October 2013 on a Work Placement. After his placement ended, Phil stayed on as a volunteer to help out with solve any computer-based issues with office and customer computers and laptops. Phil has been building his own computers since he was 12 and continues to do with the spare parts from unused computers.

STUART MOORE Digital Champion & Systems Volunteer

Stuart has been working to streamline our internal systems, helping us run more effectively to support more people. He has been working with our disabled learners to teach IT along with peer mentoring individuals who come into A1 for computer support.

PABIN RAI IT Volunteer

Pabin has a masters in IT Networking and has been working on our A1 Computer Works (MAKE A HYPERLINK TO THEIR WEBSITE) project. He supports our COMPta+ (a technical qualification) group in learning the technical aspects of IT. In addition to this he translates for our Nepalese group which is learning basic English.
